HISTORY
Bill Etscorn Sr. started in business with Marathon Oil in 1947. He and Joseph H. Ball opened a one bay station at 18th and Oak Street in Louisville. Four years later in 1951, Bill Sr. bought out his partner to be on his own.

In the 1950's Bill Etscorn was the top tire, battery and accessory dealer for Marathon Oil Company.

In 1960, Bill Etscorn Sr. was asked by Phillips Petroleum Company to become a Phillips 66 dealer at Klondike and Hikes Lane. In 1961 Bill Sr. moved from 18th and Oak to Hikes Lane to become a Phillips 66 dealer.

In the early 1970's Bill Jr. came to work with his dad after returning from the Vietnam War. After many successful years working hand in hand with his father, Bill Jr. bought the company from his dad in 1979.

Shortly after, the property at 3935 was purchased to open an auto service center in 1979.

In 1984, the collision center was opened and today is one of the largest independent shops in the state of Kentucky.

Today in its third generation of Etscorn's, the collision center and service department are run by his three sons David, Bryan and Brent. They continue to maintain the high standard of excellence that their grandfather and father instilled.

We opened our newest collision center on September 4th, 2007. Stop by and see us for all of your vehicle repair needs

WHAT DO I DO IF I HAVE AN ACCIDENT?
1. By law you are only required to get one estimate.

2. You have the right to take your vehicle to any repair shop that you want. Some insurance companies want you to go to their drive-in claim centers to get an estimate. Sometimes their claim centers are in another collision center. You do not have to have your car repaired in that particular shop even if they guarantee the repair. Bring us a copy of their estimate and we will repair off of their estimate. We will guarantee our repair and will get your vehicle back to pre-accident condition.

3. If you are worried that an adjuster left off items from the estimate, we will contact the insurance company for you to get your car fixed correctly.

4. Make sure you choose a shop with certified technicians such as I-Car or ASE. Also be sure that the shop of your choice has the proper frame straightening and measuring equipment to return your car back to its original specs.

5. If you are hit by another car in which they are at fault, in the state of Kentucky they must supply you with a rental car while your car is being repaired.

If you are unsure of what to do, feel free to contact us. We will make your process easy and stress free.
